The Birthday Treasure Hunt ...
Make a Birthday (or any reason for a gift) into a fun for all ... ...
First the short simple version: - Put a note in a birthday card that leads to another clue, then another clue, until they finally find the gift .. like a treasure hunt.
For the finer points .. more ...
For many years I have not PARTICULAR birthday or Christmas gifts to my children, but they receive theirCelebration card and the card has a simple reference to a piece of paper is written. (Depending on age and ability would be the birthday child on the keys they receive from).
The general idea is to treasure hunt on the extent to which you can manage the feeling of the receiver ... for example, young children 4 to 10 would be likely to play house and garden will be limited. Young people can participate such as local shopping centers or stores for adults .. to travel when you have to play a rocket to .. The world is bigenough!
This idea works as follows.
Get a piece of paper and a felt pen and think about areas in which an idea it to another track .... for example, could be placed directly. Clue --- "Where does Buzz Light year to go when the game is clean room?" The answer is "The Toy Box" If they find out, tell them it is a further indication in the toy box. Now go to the toy box and find (a key can be fixed Buzz Light year) might say: "Where do you store your bike?" The answer couldprobably the shed or garage ... then the child goes into the shed or wherever the bike is stored, and since the bike down, is another clue.
The treasure hunters enjoy so much more than just always present in order to given them. Try it run (even to a dummy run with your partner and see how much fun it). I suggest that the treasure hunters work a bit, so why not from the first idea down the stairs and the second upstairs and then the third one in the garage .. Consider two points a long waysee each other and then enjoy as a treasure hunter is running around the place looking for the next clue!
After four notes of 5 (or more if you like, sometimes an idea to the fridge for an ice cream could send .. then they can set a reference to the ice!). She finally the present, you may have hidden in a draw, or under the couch.
Some hints can be tricky, so you may need to give information or advice. This could take the form of the game "take a farce", where youcan give you a hint, but you can not speak, you only give marks.
The letter is the reference that is particularly suitable for personal family jokes or information Clue: - "That's where the element that Granny broke last Christmas past ".... it can break the vase on the mantelpiece, so that they are on the verge fireplace, which uses the vase and find a clue. (for an adult version, I think you could hide the information on your person, I will no longer say that!)
There are manyvariations on this simple Idea, for example... for teenagers this can be made into your major party game. Your clues could suggest they go to a few local shops or places of interest. The way that works is to select the places you think would be good to visit (may be you know the shopkeeper or assistant there) and deposit a clue in a brightly coloured envelope with the shopkeeper or assistant at each place. When preparing for the treasure hunt, just go to the selected place and explain you have a treasure hunt for a party game and would they mind if the their establishment was a place for a clue to be kept? (I find giving the assistant a few bucks as a tip is a good way to get it two work smoothly).
If the assistant agrees check they know what your treasure hunter looks like and give them a password that the treasure hunter must say before they receive the clue envelope. Tell them an approximate time (and day) that your treasure hunter should arrive. When the treasure hunter They will ask for the password (the previous was on the track) if it is right to hand over the keys. Once, in a candy shop, before I paid for six packages of candy, if that way my son and his buddies came in, she got a packet of sweets and the idea ...
What the evidence itself, they write in large letters on a sheet of A4 or A5, as you can quite a few people in the Treasure Hunt Party all want to read the same key. The bigger and brighter the envelope you put the key in,the better! (I am inclined to all envelope the same size and color helps with continuity and it is an expression they are) always retain the right envelope. You can work out the location of the treasure hunters next clue with a word game. A anogram God is the key under her food bowl ...
You really can put some work in and buried a note in a box or a bag, can in the garden or even a public place like a beach or under some rocks in a park. The places to hide the evidencethere are no limits .. than the shell has no value as such they should not be stolen, if they have good hiding.
How do they get around? / Could it all on their bikes, or one can say that you are the driver .. This way you can enjoy the fun, they are on the driver's seat and keep an eye on them all.
Enjoy
By a happy dad
